The Paterhof lies in the heart of the quiet village of Oberplanitzing, part of the wine village of Caldaro. For many centuries, monastic order, agricultural life, and the course of history have shaped this exceptional place.
The Paterhof was first documented in 1183 and was originally owned by Tegernsee Abbey.
Later, the estate passed to the Andergassen family — and is now in the hands of Rochus Andergassen, who carries this historic legacy forward with great care and dedication.
Today the Paterhof welcomes guests who appreciate the extraordinary: people drawn to history, who wish to feel the charm of bygone times without forgoing modern comforts.

It was very important to me to preserve the original charm while also creating space for modern comfort.
In 2020 Rochus took over the estate from his uncle. With the inheritance he assumed not only buildings and land, but also the responsibility of guiding this special place into a new era.
With great sensitivity, the historic Paterhof was carefully restored from within. Today it is a place of arrival and tranquillity — right in the historic village centre, the view opens eastward across the wide landscape. Here history meets nature, tradition meets new perspectives.
